Raised in Western Kansas, Dr. Newby brings a strong work ethic and compassionate approach to care. He earned his dental degree from UMKC and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, with a clinical focus on dental implants, full-arch restoration, and complex oral surgery.

Krista Lerner, DDS

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Lerner is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with advanced training in dental implants, oral pathology, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and TMJ care. She completed her residency at UMKC and is known for her community-centered approach.

Marissa Bergthold, DDS

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Originally from Missouri, Dr. Bergthold completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Christiana Care in Delaware. She provides full-scope surgical care with experience in corrective jaw surgery, benign pathology, and dental implants.

Ashkaan Bahreini, DDS

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Bahreini is dual board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. Trained at UMKC with advanced fellowship education in facial aesthetics, he specializes in jaw reconstruction, TMJ surgery, dental implants, and facial rejuvenation.

Scott Barber, DDS

Dr. Barber is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in private practice and academic settings. Trained at UCLA and UMKC, his interests include oral pathology, dental implants, bone grafting, and dentoalveolar surgery.

Began the process of having a dental implant installed. Front desk was attentive and polite. Hannah was amazing. She did the X-Rays and got me In the chair. She was engaging and social and made me feel at ease by answering all my questions. Dr Newby did my procedure. I was expecting some pain either from the injection or the process itself…but nothing, nada. Don’t even feel a pinch with the numbing shot. Other than a ton of pressure to remove the tooth. Absolutely painless, took all of maybe 20-30 minutes. I’m going back for the remainder of the process in Oct. could not recommend any more highly. Thanks everybody!!
